Pharmacy Leadership Team Conference

Andrew Caplan, Chief Retail Officer, hosted the annual Pharmacy Leadership Team conference on 13th and 14th September, which brought together leaders from across the business in a two-day event and included key speakers, awards and a variety of workshops. The conference was an opportunity to engage with a variety of different businesses and leadership topics supporting the development and growth of our teams.

Flu season is coming, and we are ‘Well’ prepared.

As the UK’s leading independent pharmacy chain, we are delighted to have launched a brand-new digital e-voucher platform for our annual flu jab scheme, which allows businesses to easily share flu vouchers with colleagues using email and unique flu voucher codes.

Flu is usually the biggest cause of sick days in the UK, accounting for an average of 5.7 days off from work each year. As well as costing the UK economy an estimated £29 billion every year, the flu costs businesses an average of £522 per employee annually, highlighting the importance of offering and making the flu jab accessible to employees.

Our digital e-voucher platform service not only offers easy accessibility, but many more benefits including quick and easy sharing through quick email access, up-front pricing and invoicing, and easy viewing of voucher usage.

George Sandhu, Deputy Superintendent Pharmacist, said: “We know that flu can play havoc with how a business runs at what can be its busiest time – the pre-Christmas rush. Signing up to provide flu jabs for your staff is a relatively inexpensive way to protect your business, your staff and their loved ones, and we want to make getting them in place as easy as possible, the scheme easy to administer to save you time and for it to be easy for your colleagues to be able to get their flu jab when it suits them best.” Flu jabs are available in all our pharmacies.
