Well Pharmacy proud to offer covid-19 booster vaccinations in 60 pharmacies

Well Pharmacy, the UK’s largest independent pharmacy chain, has announced that 60 community pharmacy sites across England have been selected by NHS England to administer COVID-19 booster vaccines. The news comes after research by Well Pharmacy suggests that 90% of people aged 50+, intend to have the COVID-19 booster vaccine when offered it.

Well Pharmacy will be offering eligible patients the opportunity to have their COVID-19 booster vaccine with the NHS flu jab wherever possible in a bid to protect as many people as possible from getting seriously ill from Covid or flu this winter.

Government guidelines have outlined that booster jabs will initially be offered to people aged 50 years and over, health and social care workers and to the most vulnerable. The boosters will be offered around six months after the second COVID jab was administered.

The NHS will be in contact with patients to invite them for the COVID-19 booster vaccine when they are due for it. People interested in having the NHS flu jab at the same time will be offered it as part of their booster jab appointment at their local Well Pharmacy.
