UBL Triumphs as Champion of CACL 2025 Cricket

UBL has been crowned Champion of the CACL (CA Pakistan Cricket League) Cricket Tournament 2025, organized by ICAP. Among 16 participating teams, UBL delivered an unbeaten campaign, reflecting outstanding skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Tournament Journey:

• Group Stage: Convincing victories over BPO, Jubilee Life Insurance, and National Bank of Pakistan.
• Quarter Final: Continued momentum with a strong win against A.F. Ferguson.
• Semi-Final: A commanding 10-wicket triumph over KPMG, highlighted by Captain Saad Meraj and Bilal Talib (Man of the Match).
• Final: A remarkable victory against K-Electric, sealed by Captain Saad Meraj's unbeaten 69-run knock including 10 sixes, securing the championship in style.

Individual Honours:

• Captain Saad Meraj was declared Player of the Tournament, recognizing his consistent all-round excellence throughout the tournament.
• Bilal Talib's stellar performances earned him three Man of the Match awards.
• Bilal Iqbal earned one Man of the Match award against National Bank of Pakistan.

Closing Ceremony:

The closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Syed Manzoor Hussain Zaidi, CFO, UBL, along with Mr. Zain Khandwani, Head of Trade, Mr. Muhammad Mushtaq, Financial Controller, Mr. Syed Muneer Akhtar Zaidi, Financial Controller, and other executives of the Bank. Their presence underscored the importance of this achievement and the pride UBL takes in its team's success.
