The UK Catering market is very competitive; however, there are significant opportunities for Bestway to secure growth. Our current catering sales are approximately £100 million. 

Using the experience and knowledge of Batleys and following successful trials in autumn 2005, new catering departments have been created in most of our warehouses.  These departments have undergone a complete overhaul with new shelving, refrigeration, signage and the addition of up to 1,000 lines of ambient, fresh and frozen products.  New ranges include fresh meat, fruit and vegetables and extended listings of Batleys Catering lines.
 
In conjunction with the internal upgrade, there have been sales campaigns at every branch to recruit new and activate lapsed catering customers.  Every branch has a dedicated catering Business Development Executive who ensures that sales momentum is maintained in the post launch period.
