Founded in 1976, Bestway Group is the second largest Wholesale Cash & Carry Operator in the United Kingdom.  The Cash & Carry Group annual turnover today is in excess of £2.0 billion and it enjoys 17% market share.  It trades from 56 warehouses, offering over 5.5 million square feet of selling space, a product line of over 50,000 items and serving 100,000 independent retailers, many of who provide 24 hours service to various communities throughout the country. It also provides employment to over 4,500 people in the United Kingdom.

Bestway Cement was established in 1994 and is the second largest cement manufacturer in Pakistan with a 5.4 million tonnes per annum capacity. Bestway Cement enjoys 15% share of the local market. It is the leading cement exporter to Afghanistan, whilst exporting to new clients in the Middle East, India and Sub-Sarahan Africa.  Bestway Cement provides direct employment to 2,000 people and indirect employment to 3,000 people.

United Bank Limited was acquired in October 2002 for US$ 210.0 million. UBL is Pakistan's third largest bank, with assets under management of US$ 7.8 billion. It has over 1,000 branches spread across the four corners of the globe. It provides employment to over 14,500 people. Since acquisition UBL has been transformed from a loss making static public sector entity into a profitable dynamic private enterprise.
