UBL: Level 3 Enhances its Community
Level 3, UBL’s Digital Design Lab, starts the year by inducting fresh talent, upskilling the current one and building a strong community of creative problem solvers at UBL.
Level Up Cohort 2 joins as Cohort 1 Graduates
The second cohort of Level Up, a industry-first digital and design training program, joined UBL Digital Lab on Tues- day, January 2, 2024.
Representing 6 top universities and as many disciplines, this cohort of 6 women and 4 men will undergo a 9-month immersion and training program designed to prepare them for a future in product design, development & man- agement for a digital-first bank.
The following week, the lab hosted a certificate and grad- uation ceremony for the first cohort of Level Up program. Eight of the ten associates from the first cohort are now full-time employees at UBL, serving across all functions of Digital Banking Group.
Design @ UBL: Community of Practice
The Digital Lab hosted the inaugural meeting of Design@UBL, an organic community of practice (COP) for everyone interested in using design methods and tools for creative problem solving at UBL. The event was attended by participants from across Digital Banking Group functions, as they discussed community norms, needs and the way forward. The COP will meet first Fridays of every quarter in person at the lab, and stay connected on a dedicated Slack channel. UBL Digital participates at UX Pakistan 2024 conference
Members of Digital Banking Group attended Pakistan’s premier design event, the UX Pakistan 2024 conference, hosted at Habib University in partnership with faculty from LUMS, IVS & SZABIST on Saturday, January 13, 2024. It was an opportunity to learn from industry leaders and network with other designers and developers in the digital space. Head of Design, Experience and Culture at UBL, Gulraiz Khan, was a speaker at the conference, and talked about designing better digital financial services.
