‘Outstanding Social Impact’ award goes to...

Well pharmacy was recognised for its significant fundraising achievements for the mental health charity, Mind. The charity team at Bestway Healthcare was awarded the ‘Outstanding Social Impact’ award at the Pennies Annual Autumn Celebration in London on 7th November. Pennies, with whom Bestway Healthcare have been in proud partnership for 2 years, are the UK’s leading charity working to protect and grow micro-donations at the point of sale. This was a significant achievement against some tough opposition, with the winners selected by an independent panel of industry leaders in retail, hospitality, payments and technology. The award was collected on behalf of Bestway Healthcare by Nina Howard, Regional Operations Manager who is photographed here with Alison Hutchinson, CEO at Pennies.

Seb Hobbs, CEO at Bestway Healthcare said: ‘Since its inception, the Charity Team fund raising efforts have been extensive- from raffles, cake sales, parachute jumps, Everest-equivalent runs, to thousands of micro-donations at the tills in our pharmacies. Each one is equally important and so many people have been essential to the effort. A massive thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey, especially for the implementation of micro donation at our tills, via Pennies technology. Helping people is why we are here and this recognition reinforces the important role we play in the communities we serve.’
