New 'Best-one +' Store in Manchester Opens
In what’s turning out to be a big week for Best-one following on from the launch on Monday of our chilled & frozen foods delivery service, we’re also pleased to announce our latest ‘Best-one +’ store located in Stretford Road, Manchester.
Owned and run by Mr and Mrs Yusuf it has been designed to meet the demands of today’s local shoppers and help independent retailers compete against the increasingly fierce competition from other symbol group operators and the multiple c-stores such as Tesco Express and Sainsbury’s Local.
Great credit goes to the Best-one BDE Jackie Shonn and the merchandising team who have ensured that the store has been laid out to the latest 'mission management' principles (which puts products likely to be purchased together next to each other so the shopper is more likely to buy both) - such as ready meals and salad – and now includes:
- An extended range of chilled foods covering all meal occasions
- An in-store bake-off for preparing fresh bread and hot food-to-go
- A bean-to-cup coffee offer
The latest Best-one stores really stack up against any competitor and has been instrumental in our starting to recruit higher-spending retailers from other symbol groups including NISA, Costcutter and Londis over the past few weeks.
