Bestway Batleys expands new world wine range
Bestway Batleys Foodservice is expanding its wine range to caterers and licensees with the launch of three exclusive new wine ranges; Dos Condores from Chile, Marin Hills from the United States and The Old Courthouse from Australia.
Drinks Express, the division of Bestway Batleys Foodservice that offers a nationwide one stop solution for the licensed trade, has added the new ranges to its already extensive BWS portfolio.
Sourced from rich, fertile vineyards the new labels satisfy the increasing customer demand for a premium quality liquid whilst delivering exceptional margins for caterers and publicans.

The Old Courthouse originates from the rich Murray Darling Basin in Eastern Australia which is the country’s most important agricultural region and includes many significant natural heritage features. The diversity of the land combined with the water, its most valuable resource, makes the area the ideal place for growing and cultivating grapes. These new wines are produced by Littore Family Wines - a family owned and run wine business that migrated from Italy in 1953. They have extensive vineyard holdings, a diverse portfolio of varietals and close relationships with a number of loyal growers. Their winemaking philosophy is precision and passion in every aspect of the winemaking process.
The Old Courthouse Chardonnay 2012 (13% ABV)
A delightfully fresh wine with floral subtleties and good acidity and vanilla oak character. Ideal served on its own or with pasta, white fish and chicken dishes.
The Old Courthouse Pinot Grigio 2012 (11.5% ABV)
A perfectly balanced wine with all character and attributes associated with the Pinot Grigio style. Crisp, dry and with packed with citrus aromas, this wine is best served with light pasta and seafood dishes or as an aperitif.
The Old Courthouse Shiraz 2012 (13% ABV)
A deep, ripe plum, blackberry fruit and spice flavours balances beautifully with dark chocolate, pepper and vanilla nuances. Exhibiting good depth and intense flavours, it is the perfect accompaniment to red meat and poultry dishes or cheeses.
Dos Condores comes from the Central Valley, sited between the Chilean Costal Range and the Andes and is one of the most significant wine producing regions of South America. The family owned wine company that was established in 1982 by two brothers Ricardo and Pedro Toro Espinosa. The brothers work with a core of 120 selected grower partners who they have nurtured for over 10 years to build lasting sustainable relationships based on trust and ultimately quality
Dos Condores Sauvignon Blanc 2013 (13%ABV)
A classic example of a Sauvignon Blanc – crisp, zesty and refreshing. It offers and abundance of tropical fruit flavours combined with sharp grapefruit to produce an invigorating partner to seafood and pasta.
Dos Condores Merlot 2013 (13%ABV)
Rich and intense and bursting with blackberries and blueberries, this Merlot also includes Syrah and Tintorera varieties delivering intense aromas and flavours of bramble fruits. The velvety textures of this wine make it an ideal choice for red meat and pork dishes. It is also excellent enjoyed on its own.
Marin Hills is produced by the Chue Her family in California who have a diverse portfolio of varietals and extensive vineyard holdings. They and their grape growers are committed to producing high quality wines whilst protecting the environment, conserving natural resources, and maintaining the long-term viability of agricultural farm land. The 2012 vintage white Zinfandel (10% ABV) is an easy drinking rose wine packed with delicate aromas of raspberries and strawberries. Light bodied and refreshingly flavoursome, this wine is wonderful with salads, grilled or barbecued seafood or simply on its own.
